Winter Wows

When the temps drop and the snow falls, The Ptarmigan becomes magic. A sense of fairytale-like whimsy fills the air the mountain fills with snowboarders, skiers, and snowbirds all seeking the same thing - a winter experience like no other. Set conveniently slopeside with unique ski in and ski out ability, The Ptarmigan is in the center of the on-mountain action. If speeding down the mountain isn’t your thing, there’s always ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and the natural hot springs. Of course, snow and speed go hand-in-hand, and there’s no better adrenaline rush than taking a snowmobile out in the backcountry.

Meet Ptom

Ptarmigan Inn - Pronounced “t-ahr-mi-guhn,”

We like to call him Ptom (the “p” is silent, are you seeing the pattern?). This social, little grouse is common in the Colorado Rockies, though his snow-white winter feathers can make him hard to spot in the wild. Here at the inn, Ptom is your playtime guide - he'll mark the spot for mountain adventures and events.
