Summer & Spring Sizzles

The Ptarmigan comes alive during the summer months. Get your adrenaline going with thrill-seeking excitement like off-road mountain biking, zip-lining, and white water rafting. Relax and enjoy the sites on a scenic hike, hot air balloon ride, kayak, or horseback ride. Pamper yourself in the nearby natural hot springs. Spend the day on the golf course, or get in touch with your inner fisherman and spend a day on the water. The Ptarmigan proves that there is no such thing as an off-season in Steamboat Springs.

Meet Ptom

Ptarmigan Inn - Pronounced “t-ahr-mi-guhn,”

We like to call him Ptom (the “p” is silent, are you seeing the pattern?). This social, little grouse is common in the Colorado Rockies, though his snow-white winter feathers can make him hard to spot in the wild. Here at the inn, Ptom is your playtime guide - he'll mark the spot for mountain adventures and events.
